Here’s the deal. I know you all love my tap boards, and I love making them! But I am in a period where I am spending a lot of time in NYC and I am unable to hold down a shop. I have plans for the future for a new shop, and to build some designs that I am soooooo excited about but this ain’t the time. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions! I’m here for you.

Keep dancing, indoors and out

At home, on the pavement, in the dance studio and the recording studio, this is the portable dance floor you’re looking for. Whether you’re new to your dance journey, or a seasoned pro looking for more from their sound, Time on the Wood has you covered.

Each board is made with 3/4in baltic birch plywood, with a smooth polyurethane finish. They are semi-sprung dance floors on a 2-layer 18in. lattice, supported with repurposed bike tires from our partnership with Working Bikes Chicago. The tire grips help to dampen bounce, and providing stability and comfort for whatever surface you choose to set it on. The underside is painted black for a low profile in stage transitions.

A rhythmic dancer relies on more than just their shoes to craft their sound (tap dance, flamenco, folklorico, irish, clogging… the list goes on). While we are often contributors in a live music setting, we don’t yet have a standard for the quality of sound we produce. This business is my effort to make a quality instrument that we can rely on for recording, performing, and for practice at home!.
